Schools announce open morning and open evening details

Our family of secondary and primary schools are looking forward to welcoming parents and young people for their series of open morning and evening events.

The details for each of our schools are as follows:

Clacton County High School

Prospective students and families going into Year 7 next year are invited to an open evening on Thursday 25th September, between 4pm and 7pm.

A series of short 15-minute presentations will take place in the Main Hall during the evening.

Colne Community School

Colne will be holding their open evening on Thursday 2nd October between 4pm and 7pm. The Headteachers will be presenting information to families in the Main Hall at 4.10pm and 5pm. 

The week following the open evening, the school will be running a limited number of tours between 9am and 10am.

Harwich and Dovercourt High School

The school’s open evening will take place on Thursday 2nd October between 5.30pm and 7.30pm.

Headteacher Kate Finch will give a presentation in the School Hall at 5.45pm and 6.30pm.

Monkwick Infant and Nursery School

A series of school tours will be held on Monday 13th October, Monday 20th October and Monday 10th November. They will all start at 2pm.

Paxman Academy

The open evening will take place on Thursday 2nd October between 5.30pm and 7pm, with headteacher talks planned for 5.30pm and 6.15pm.

In addition, open morning tours will run between Monday 6th October and Thursday 9th October between 9.30am and 10.15am.

The Sigma Sixth Open Evening will be held at its site, on the grounds of Philip Morant School & College, on Thursday 9th October between 4.15pm and 7pm.

St Helena School

The school is holding an ‘Open Week’ with open mornings planned for Wednesday 24th, Thursday 25th and Friday 26th September, between 9.05am and 10.05am.

An open evening will also be held on Thursday 25th September between 5pm and 7pm with a Head of School address at 5.15pm and 6.15pm.

The Stanway School

The school's open evening will be held on Thursday 25th September, from 5pm until 8pm.

Open week tours are also planned between Monday 29th September and Friday 3rd October from 9.15am.
