GCSE results day is always a highlight in our calendar.

It is a chance to congratulate students and shine a light on their achievement. It is also a chance to praise school staff and local families for everything they have done to support students on their journey, past – present and future.

But, of course, the events on the last few years make today’s achievements even more special.

Reading the various statements from our school leaders, certain words constantly spring out.

“Commitment”, “dedication”, “resilience”, are all recurring themes and our students have shown that in abundance.

Through the pandemic, lockdowns, home schooling and student and staff absence, they have continued to show all the words above – and much more – to achieve the grades they have today.

Today, our students, staff, families and entire school communities all deserve a very big congratulations.
