Sigma Sixth open evening

We were delighted to open our Sigma Sixth doors to showcase the range of academic opportunities available to local students and their families.

Open evenings were held at both our Tendring and Colchester campuses with staff on hand to answer questions and give presentations and practical examples from the classroom and beyond.

They were joined by current sixth form students who spent the evening showcasing what life at Sigma Sixth is like – including giving talks to a packed gathering of prospective students about both their curricular and extra-curricular activities.

Sarah McKarry, head of Sigma Sixth Tendring, said: “We were delighted to welcome hundreds of local students to our two open evenings.

“It gave them a fantastic insight into the two campuses and we would like to thank everyone who attended and all staff and students who supported the events.

Peta Smith, head of sixth form at Sigma Sixth Colchester, added: “At our Sigma Sixth campuses, students will have the chance to study the subjects they are passionate about in a nurturing environment designed to encourage, excite and engage in equal measure.

“We will do everything to help students develop as people, help them decide on their future pathway and enjoy success in life.”
