Harwich high school students make poetry finals
Year Eight students at Harwich and Dovercourt High School, Ben Farnsworth and Elliot Halls, made it to the finals of the Armistice 100 poetry competition.
Their original poems were judged alongside international entries by 11 to 18-year-olds in the competition run by the University of Lincoln with the support of the Poet Laureate, Carol Ann Duffy.
Assistant headteacher Ray Gallagher said: “This is an amazing achievement and we are extremely proud of Ben and Elliot.
