Colne School singers to record Do They Know It’s Christmas?
Secondary school singers are set to bring the 1984 hit Do They Know It’s Christmas? to life in a charity single.
More than 400 performers from Years 7, 8 and 9 at the Colne Community School in Brightlingsea are gearing up to record the track next week under the tutelage of head of music Anna Green.
It is all part of the Church Road school’s Big Sing event.
The group, which includes a number of soloists, have been learning how to perform as part of an ensemble and with musical techniques such as added dynamics, changing tempo, blending voices, singing different vocal part, performing to a backing track and to a live band.
