Sixth-formers from Harwich and Dovercourt High School celebrate A-level success
Sixth-form students from around the district are celebrating after collecting their A-level results yesterday.
Youngsters at Harwich and Dovercourt High School achieved a 100 percent pass rate with 60 per cent of the pupils achieving A to C A-level grades or the BTEC equivalent.
The top achiever was Liam Ainger who got an A and three C grades Liam said: “I can’t believe I got an A in sociology and good grades in history and English too.”
Kate Finch, headteacher, said she is exceptionally proud.
She added: “These achievements are all about these young people in our community working hard to secure their futures and all of Harwich should be proud.
“These students reflect the quality of the local sixth-form offer which is going from strength to strength.”
