Determination of The Sigma Trust Admission Arrangements 2024/25

The Sigma Trust has recently conducted a consultation on the 2024/25 admissions policies the following schools within the Trust:

                        Monkwick Junior School

                        The Stanway School

                        The Thomas Lord Audley School

The consultation period began on Thursday, 15 December 2022 and ended on Friday, 27 January 2023. During that time, parents/interested parties were invited to express their views and any concerns about the proposed changes to the admission arrangements at Monkwick Junior School, The Stanway School and The Thomas Lord Audley School. Following the consultation, the admission criteria have been formally agreed (determined) by the Trustees.

Please click on the links below to view the determined admissions policies for 2024/25 for all 12 schools within The Sigma Trust.

Trustees have also determined that:

• The wording be amended in the oversubscription criteria (section 3.2), which has been updated for clarification purposes, in the Monkwick Junior School’s Admissions Policy.
• Lakelands Primary School, Stanway be included as an additional feeder school in The Stanway School’s Admissions Policy.
• The order of the oversubscription criteria in The Thomas Lord Audley School’s Admissions Policy be changed as follows:

3.3    Children who attend the following feeder schools:

• Cherry Tree Academy
• Fingringhoe CofE (VA) Primary School
• Langenhoe Community Primary School
• Mersea Island School
• Monkwick Junior School
• Old Heath Community Primary School
• St Lawrence Church of England Primary School

3.4     Children who reside within the Priority Admission Area.

Deadline for objections

All admissions authorities must determine their admission arrangements by 28 February every year. Following determination of arrangements, any objections to those arrangements must be made to the Schools Adjudicator by 15 May 2023.
